Too many of us go through life pretending to be someone we’re not to win the affection of others or to be accepted by a certain group of peers, yet deep down we’re afraid to let them see who we really are and that they will reject us. If you ask me, that’s a pretty cruddy way to go through life – and it’s not the way God created us to go through life!

Join us un the month of April as we take four weeks to examine our lives and what it takes to live honestly and let people see the real us. Ultimately, it is the most satisfying, gratifying way to go.

Also, we will conclude the series on April 24th, which is Easter. All families are welcome to come be a part. There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children that Sunday evening.

What does it mean that the Lord is our shepherd? Who is he and why should we follow him? What is this deal about a valley of death and how does that relate to my life?

Sunday nights, 5pm, where together we look at the scriptures and discuss how faith in Christ intersect with life, and what the results are?

All are invited, all are welcome!

Can you believe it? Tyrone Wells and band are coming to our neck of the woods. It is going to be an awesome concert!

Bring your friends and come on out! The concert is limited to 299 in the building, so it is first come, first in. However, if you don’t make it inside, you’ll still be able to hear the concert from outside. Plus, we are having free food at 4pm! What’s for eats? Pulled pork sandwiches with a beverage (water, Pepsi or Diet Pepsi).

The doors for the concert will open at 4:30pm, with the concert starting at 5. Plus there will be three prizes to win from our raffles. We will be giving away two itouches (each with a couple cd’s from Tyrone and the band as well as a t-shirt). We will also be giving away an acoustic/electric guitar signed by Tyrone himself.

We’re moving the first weekend of March – so NO CHURCH ON FRIDAY, MARCH 4th. Instead we will meet SUNDAY, MARCH 6th, 5pm. Call or email if you’ve got any questions!

CHRISTMAS PARTY – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17th
We’re going to have a party this Friday. Instead of starting at 7pm, we’ll start at 6:30. It’s a potluck, so bring food to share. There will be games for the kids and big kids (adults) with some silly prizes to win. Also, we’ll have a white elephant gift exchange, so if you want to be a part, bring a gift (the only caveat is no broken things, no trash, and no spending any money on the gift – wrap up something from your house that you just don’t want anymore [it could be a bag of candy someone gave you])

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 24th
We are going to join with West Cypress Church in celebrating Christmas Eve together. The service will be at 5:30pm. Bring your friends and family for a great service as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

NO ENCOUNTER SERVICE – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31st

With Christmas right around the corner, we are diving into our holiday series. We all know what the world has to offer, but what is it that God is offering? Is it worth it? Is it something we would want or even need?

Come on out on Friday nights and join us as we take a closer look at the gift God is offering, bringing more clarity to “What’s in the box!”

Also, we have some home groups set up for mid week studies that are available to you.

Encounter in the park was cool.  Thanks to all who showed up and worshiped the Lord with us.  We had a blast playin volleyball while the kids played on the playground as well.
